B2018 Mohair Auction
Our last auction for the 2018 calendar year saw spirited bidding for most lots on behalf of the buying companies.
Post auction negotiations for two large lots 21 & 22 of DFFH sold to Stucken and Australasian Mohair Trading for satisfactory prices. The sale of these two lots saw the overall sale clearance rise to 94.6% and the overall sale average price rise to $23.40/kg. A very pleasing result!
Top price for the sale was for Lot 1—a bale of BSFFK (B length Super Style Fine Fine Kid) purchased by Stucken for $42.00/kg. The best young goat fibre was sold to Sudwolle for $32.40/kg and the best adult price was for a lot of BFFH also sold to Sudwolle.
A record price of $25.00/kg was obtained for a line of Fine Stain (28.7 micron) with buyers recognising AMMO’s efforts to further sort traditional out-sorts by age/fineness.
8 bales remain unsold. These are DLOX and YGMOH—both very short lines, with little style.
