The Australian Mohair Marketing Organisation Ltd (AMMO) classes and sells Australian Mohair to domestic and International processors on behalf of Australian growers.

About Us

AMMO was established in 1978 and operates from Narrandera in Southern New South Wales. The company was formed by a group of mohair producers who believed a greater return for mohair was possible by re-sorting, pooling and auctioning the fibre in bulk .

AMMO is a grower controlled and not for profit organisation with a Board of Directors elected from the members for a three year term. The Board may have 3 to 9 Directors.

There are currently two sales each year which are conducted by auction in Narrandera with buyers attending in person or through an agent who bids on their behalf.
